Chamara Fan

The Chamara or ceremonial fly-whisk is a sacred puja item that is used to fan the deity and is a symbol of revering Him. 

It is made from white hair of the Tibetan yak and has a golden brass handle. 

Traditionally it was used by Krishna's queens at Dwarka to worship him and throughout the ages the pujaris in the temples of Krishna and other gods use the chamara, the yak-tail whisk, as an integral part of the arti service.
