Hayagriva Shaligram Shila - I

The Shaligram Shila symbolizes Lord Vishnu and is regarded as a sacred stone that imparts benevolent blessings from the divine Lord. This Shaligram shila, adorned with unique impressions, is known as Hayagriva Shaligram. Hayagriva is a horse-headed diety with human body who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is worshipped as the god of knowledge and wisdom.

The sacred Shaligram Shila is a self-manifested stone found in the Kali Gandaki river, Nepal. The Shaligram Shila is worshipped by performing the sacred bath, Abhishek, with water and Tulsi leaves and Panchamrit, which is a mixture of Cow Milk, Curd, Ghee, Honey and Sugar.
