Kesar (Saffron)

Kesar is an expensive spice and it's aroma improves your mood and memory, It is offered to deity idols during puja as a tilak or as an abhishek ingredient or put in sweet offerings .

It comes from Kashmir in North India where old saffron was originally produced. Its aroma is exotic and while it stands for luxury and wealth it also helps in meditation and gives inner peace. Saffron is understood to be holy, as its shining color bears a likeness to the color of the rising sun. It is offered to deity idols during puja as a tilak or as an abhishek ingredient or put in sweet offerings .

Usage: Take 4-5 pieces of saffron and put a few drops of water or milk and rub to make a paste.
