Manusmrti

The Manusmriti is a English translation of the original Manusmriti, which is said to be the first ancient manuscripts which contain the ground rules or Laws of Dharma for Hindus. The book Manusmriti, also contains Sanskrit verses, translation in English, along with extra notes for better understanding and Index of Verses to easily find them in the book. The translation in English is done suitably by G. Buhler and edited by Dr Sukhram.

It is believed that the creator of the original Manusmriti is Lord Brahma(the Creator of the Universe) who handed them to the first man on Earth, King Manu, who is also interpreted as mankind, by many. The Manusmriti broadly consists of - how the world was created, about the origin of Dharma, the Dharma of four social classes and the Law of Karma, rebirth and Moksha.

Manusmriti is wise book to read and gather the ancient knowledge. The explanations in English are an extra advantage, which this book offers, thereby making it interesting for everyone.
