Balaji Brass Idol with Stonework

The Srinivisa Balaji brass idol is intricately carved with colourful stonework. Lord Srinivasa famously known as Venkateswara, Tirupati Balaji or Venkatachalapati is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. ‘Venkateswara’ means the Lord who destroys the sins. According to the Hindu scriptures, Lord Vishnu, out of love for his devotees, incarnated as Venkateswara and appeared for the salvation and upliftment of humanity during Kali Yuga. It is said that Lord Kubera credited money to Lord Venkateshwara, a form of Lord Vishnu for his marriage with Padmavati. In remembrance of this, the devotees going to Tirupati donate money.
