Ganesh with lion as vehicle is called "Kanadrishti Ganesh", and is a form of the God believed to have been instituted by Sage Agastyar, to ward off evil eye and dispels Vastu Dosha. His trunk faces right which is rare. The chakra or halo surrounding His face has an inner circle of cobras, middle layer of fire and an outer circle of eyes. His eight arms hold a long trident, knife, chakra, elephant goad, noose, conch, club and fire or Agni. He is the glorious 33rd form of Lord Ganesha, who took this form to provide protection.
