Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple
Considered as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, it plays an essential role in making the Kaal Sarp Pooja more effective and influential. According to the Shiva Purana, a Jyotirlinga is a divine light personifying the all-auspicious Lord Shiva. It is the radiant, divine light of Lord Shiva.
Trimbakeshwar temple is pulsating with the deities Shakti (divine energy) and the presence of three Lingams representing the Trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha (Shiva). The deities include Gangadevi, Jaleswara, Rameswara, Gautameswara, Kedarnath, Rama, Krishna, Parasurama and Lakshmi Narayana. This makes the Temple highly auspicious, sattvic and vibrant.

CHARITY AFTER PERFORMING KAALSARP SHANTI PUJA AT TRIMBAKESHWAR
According to Vedic astrology, the causes of Kaal Sarp dosha are karmic (deeds from previous lives that lead to this birth chart's pointers of this dosha in this life), so charity is conducted after the puja is concluded to correct any misdeed we have done with either humans or animals in our previous birth, as an expression of asking them for forgiveness.
This charity is performed to clear the hurdles and liberate these souls from being wounded and attached to the people on Earth who have been involved with them. These souls who have been retained or forgotten in this earthly plane can feel emotions like pain, hunger and thirst. It is believed that these souls visit our homes as crows, and this is not only a Hindu belief, but it is held in many other religions and cultures as well. Thus, this custom practice of feeding the crows we see around us after the puja, it is seen as a good deed we do towards them in order to ask for forgiveness for whatever it may have happened in our past lives.
In the morning, water is provided to the crows in front of the rising sun. At any time of day, Rookha or Seedha (raw) food is provided to the crows, as well as other birds we observe around, in a thali that contains wheat flour, rice, kheer (milk pudding), and sabzi (vegetables).
This custom practice of offering food and water to birds makes these souls happy and loved, and forgiveness is the natural outcome of the healing of old wounds and the completeness of the puja.
