In the Shrimat Bhagwatam, Lord Krishna has stated that in Kali Yuga seva or service rendered to a cow is equivalent to worshipping Him. It is said that all the Gods and Goddess (33 crore) reside in a cow’s body, and it is given the standing of Mother in Sanatan Dharma. It is believed that by serving the cow one gets the blessings of all the Gods and Goddesses. By doing Gau Seva, the person attracts happiness and prosperity to his or her life and family.

Rice and wheat balls, grass and water will be offered to 5 cows daily as per the period selected by the Yajaman.
