Goat Donation

Daan Dakshina meaning charity and donation has a special place in Dharma or Hinduism. Its significance has been mentioned in the Vedas, Bhagavat Gita, Manusmriti and many other major scriptures. Daan Dakshina is one of the best ways to earn good Karma and burn bad Karma. As per scriptures donation of various things are done to pacify malefic effects of various Planets and also to gain specific benefits. Donation of Goat is done primarily to pacify malefic effects of Planet Ketu. Donation of a Goat is considered as a very pious act after donation of a cow. In scriptures a goat is often equated with Prakriti or nature. Donating a goat to a Brahmin provides benefits of protection, peace of mind, growth and prosperity.
