About Goddess Kushmanda | Significance of Maa Kushmanda Puja

Goddess Kushmanda is the divine Goddess who created this world with Her beautiful smile. She is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri as She is the fourth form of Maa Durga. The word Kushmanda is made by co-joining three words ‘Ku’ which means ‘little’, Ushma means warmth, energy or heat and ‘Anda’ which means the cosmic egg. Maa Kushmanda is also known as ‘Ashtabhuja’ as She has eight hands and She blesses Her devotees with divine Siddhis and boons. Her divinity and warmth spreads light of knowledge in the life of humans and removes the darkness of bad deeds and karmas. According to the iconography of Maa Kushmanda, She is seen seated on a Tiger and holds a lotus flower, a bow, an arrow and a Kamandalu in Her four right hands, while She is seen holding a discuss, mace, a rosary and a pot of nectar in Her left hands. She represents the Anahata Chakra. Maa Kushmanda rules the planet Budh. Goddess Kushmanda is the source of Sun’s energy which is essential for the life of every living being. She resides in the center of the Sun to ensure that the Sun shines brightly and help It is Her that creates the balance of the whole universe. She is one of the most powerful forms of the divine feminine energy, Adi Shakti.

This Puja Tokri will consist of:  
Durga Yantra: Yantras are geometric representation of deities. This yantra can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja altar. The best direction for the yantra will be North East Facing South West 
7 Mukhi Rudraksha: 7 mukhi blesses the yajman with prosperity & peace. This can be worn on the right hand as a bracelet for best results. You can get in touch with RRCT therapist for guidance  
Silver Tabeez: This amulet consists of Maa Kushmanda Mantra written on Bhojpatra which was energized in the puja. It can be worn in the neck  
Molly Thread: This Holy thread can be tied on the right hand  
Dry Fruits Prasad: These were offered to Maa Kushmanda during the puja and can be consumed by the Yajman/Participant  
Puja Coins: Puja coin of Ganesh, Laxmi & Saraswati will be sent which can be kept in your purse/wallet/laptop bag/drawer/cash box/puja alter and blesses the yajman/participant with prosperity & luck

Maa Kushmanda Puja Instructions | What to do when Maa Kushmanda Puja is being performed?

The below mentioned instructions are just suggestions to attune to the puja, however due to hectic/busy lifestyle one may not be able to follow all the suggestions mentioned below and it is completely okay you will still receive the benefits of the puja 

Have a Bath & Wear Clean Clothes Before the Puja 
Avoid Eating Spicy Foods, Onion, Garlic, Non-Vegetarian on the day(s) of the puja.  
Be in Meditative Mode. Try to minimize distractions
