Goddess Gauri or Parvati is the prime Deity of Mangla Gauri Puja and Yajna. Mangla Gauri means 'auspicious Gauri'. The term Gauri means the one with white complexion and Maa Gauri is described as pristine white, with a pearly sheen. She is the consort of Lord Shiva. Maa Mangla Gauri is highly revered and worshipped all over India, especially during Tuesdays of Shravan Maas and on Navratri. The Mangla Gauri Pooja Yajna is performed on Tuesdays(Mangal Vaar) through the holy month of Shravan, when Lord Shiva is worshipped. The powerful Mangla Gauri Pooja and Yajna is for individuals who are planning to get married, for a suitable and compatible life partner, helps to overcome struggles and delays in getting married and for a happy and peaceful married life. Married women perform the Mangala Gauri Puja and Yajna for wellbeing, healthy and long life of their husbands. A fast is observed on this day by women following the Mangla Gauri Vrat Vidhi strictly. The Mangla Gauri Vrat ki Vidhi includes a day long fasting, offerings to Maa Mangla Gauri are made in number of 16, like, 16 bangles, 16 Ladoos etc., Mangla Gauri Puja includes Mangla Gauri Stotra recitation, Mangla Gauri Mantra japa and Mangla Gauri ki aarti is done by the family members together. The next day after the Vrat, the idol of Maa Mangla Gauri is immersed in a water body. Legend about the Mangla Gauri Vrat katha conveys that the fast(vrat)is so powerful that even the daughter of the woman who observes this vrat gains the blessings of never becoming a widow. It is said that the popular Mangla Gauri Vrat should be observed by women during the initial five years of marriage to bring in marital bliss, prosperity, good health and happiness. Energized Yantra: This Yantra can be kept in your purse, wallet, laptop bag, drawer, cash box, or puja altar. For the best results, place the Yantra in the East, facing West.
7 Mukhi Rudraksha with Tabeez: This Rudraksha attracts wealth and new opportunities. The Tabeez contains homa bhasma (sacred ash) and a mantra inscribed on bhojpatra.
Mauli Thread: This sacred thread can be tied on the right hand for a few days, then discarded in the soil.
Prasad: These offerings were blessed during the puja vidhi (ceremony) and can be consumed by the yajman (participant).
Puja Coin: A coin bearing the images of Ganesh, Laxmi, and Saraswati will be sent. This coin can be kept in a purse, wallet, laptop bag, drawer, cash box, or puja altar, bringing prosperity and luck to the yajman.
Tilak: Sandal paste that can be applied to the Yantra, deity idols, or on the forehead during puja.
Holy Betel Nut: A decorated Betel Nut, symbolizing good luck, will be sent to be kept in the altar or a safe place.
Prosperity Bowl: This bowl contains Gomati Chakra, cowries, Sriphal, lotus seeds, and shells, to be kept in a cash box, wallet, or money locker for financial prosperity.
