Navgraha Chalisa Paath

Navgraha Chalisa Paath is conducted to worship and revere the Navgraha or the nine planetary deities. Navgraha Chalisa is a devotional hymn of 40 verses dedicated to glorifying the powers and blessings of the Navgraha. In Vedic Astrology, the Navgraha are regarded as celestial deities whose positions and movements greatly influence an individual’s destiny, personality, karma and all aspects of life. The Navgraha comprise Surya (Sun), Chandra (Moon), Mangal (Mars), Budh (Mercury), Guru (Jupiter), Shukra (Venus), Shani (Saturn), Rahu and Ketu. The significance of the Navgraha is highly praised in ancient Vedic scriptures and they are worshipped to reduce planetary afflictions, remove obstacles and bring harmony and prosperity in life.
