Participate in the Sat Chandi Chaitra Navratri Mahapuja from 30th March to 7th April 2025 on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and be blessed with spiritual purification, protection, and empowerment through the recitation of sacred verses and rituals dedicated to the 9 forms of Ma Durga- Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandmata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Maha Gauri, and Siddhidatri. Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Rama falls on the last day of the Navratri festival, hence it is also Rama Navaratri.

The festival of Chaitra Navratri marks the time when Lord Rama prayed to Goddess Durga for power and victory nine days before going into battle with Ravana, the king Lanka. The first three days of Navratri are dedicated to worshipping the goddess in her form of Kali, the fierce and powerful warrior who battles evil and protects Her devotees. The next three days are dedicated to Her form of goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, who blesses her devotees with material and spiritual wealth. The final three days are dedicated to Her form as goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, learning, and art, who blesses Her devotees with wisdom and creativity.

Sat Chandi Mahapuja is one of the most powerful, elaborate and beneficial Pujas dedicated to Maa Durga. In Sat Chandi Maha Yagya, Chandi Path which is also known as Devi Mahatmya or Durga Saptashati is recited 100 times. The Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path is part of the Markandeya Purana. The text contains 700 verses arranged into 13 chapters which details glories of Goddess Durga and the fierce battle between Her and demon Mahishasura. Sat Chandi Puja is glorified in numerous scriptures and Vedic texts and it is stated that conducting Sat Chandi Puja drives away all negativities and fears from one’s life. Sat Chandi Path and Puja when done in the period of Navratri is considered immensely meritorious. It is the base and root of the Shakta tradition.

The Devi Mahatmaya describes how Devi assumes many forms as a deluding power 'avidya-maya' that binds man to the wheel of samsara. Yet she is the one who bestows liberation. For the sake of the continuance of her divine play she veils the truth from us and bound us to samsara and when propitiated through the practice of sincere devotion and self-surrender, she as vidya-maya, removes the veil and enables us to perceive the truth. The Saptashati refers to her as Mahavidya, Mahamaya, Mahamedha, Mahasmriti, Mahamoha, Mahadevi and Maheshwari. She is Parabrahma-Mahishi, the queen and sovereign of all existence. Her compassion takes the form of aspiration in the aspirant, sadhana in the sadhaka, siddhi in the siddha. She is the truth behind thought, willing, feeling, understanding, action, name and form.

Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Navgraha, and Navdurga Goddesses shower blessings on the one who takes part in Sat Chandi Puja and Yagna. The Puja brings abundance of positivity in a person’s life, helps get rid of debts, planetary malefic effects and misfortunes, and blesses with protection and victory of enemies.

The puja will start on 9th April with Ghatsthapana and will be completed on Purnima tithi on 17th April with Ram Navami celebrations.
