On the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Navratri, participate in the spiritually uplifting Sat Chandi Mahapuja and Yagna, a powerful nine-day worship dedicated to the nine divine forms of Ma Durga: Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
On Navami Tithi, which coincides with Ram Navami (6th April), the birth anniversary of Lord Ram. Special prayers will be offered to Lord Ram, adding greater significance to this Navratri as Ram Navaratri.
The celebrations will culminate on 7th April with a grand Yagna performed using exotic herbs and sacred havan samagri, marking the conclusion of this divine Mahapuja.
According to scriptures, it was during this time that Lord Rama invoked Ma Durga for strength and victory before confronting Ravana, the demon king of Lanka.
Each set of three days during Navratri honors a divine facet of the Goddess:
Days 1–3: Ma Kali, the fierce protector who destroys negativity.
Days 4–6: Ma Lakshmi, the giver of abundance and spiritual wealth.
Days 7–9: Ma Saraswati, the bestower of wisdom, creativity, and knowledge.
The Sat Chandi Mahapuja is one of the most powerful and elaborate rituals in the Shakta tradition, invoking the supreme energies of the Divine Mother.
It involves the recitation of Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam or Chandi Path) 100 times.
This sacred text, from the Markandeya Purana, contains 700 verses across 13 chapters, glorifying the Goddess and narrating Her divine victory over Mahishasura, the demon of ignorance and ego.
The Devi is worshipped in her highest aspects – Mahavidya, Mahamaya, Mahamedha, Mahasmriti, Mahamoha, Mahadevi, and Maheshwari – as the source of liberation and cosmic play.
Through her veil of Avidya Maya, she binds us to worldly illusion, and through Vidya Maya, she liberates us. Her grace manifests as the aspiration in the seeker, sadhana in the practitioner, and siddhi in the realized one.
Participants of this Mahapuja receive the blessings of Ma Durga, along with Lord Ram, Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, the Navagrahas, and the Navdurga Goddesses.
