Brahmin Bhoj is an age-old and sacred ritual in Hindu tradition that involves feeding Brahmins as a vital part of religious ceremonies. It is believed that no puja, religious ritual, auspicious event, or even Shraddha ceremony is considered complete without offering food to Brahmins. As per the scriptures, feeding Brahmins is akin to feeding the Gods themselves. The blessings of a satisfied Brahmin are considered highly beneficial and spiritually uplifting for the yajman (the doer of the ritual).
Offering food is regarded as a supreme form of charity, and a pure vegetarian or Sattvic meal is specially prepared and served to the Brahmins with devotion and reverence.
During Pitru Paksha or the Shraddha period, Brahmin Bhojan holds exceptional significance. It is believed that when Brahmins are fed during Shradh, the ancestors themselves partake in the meal energetically through the Brahmins. This ritual pleases the Pitru Devtas (ancestral souls), who in turn bless the performer with peace, prosperity, and harmony in life.
The Brahmin Bhojan includes a wholesome and traditional meal consisting of:
Rice
Chapatis
Two varieties of vegetable dishes
Lentils (Dal)
Yoghurt (Curd)
Salad
Sweet dish
At the start of the Bhojan, the Brahmins take a Sankalpa (vow) in your name and chant Ashirvachan (blessings) for you. A part of your donation will be respectfully offered to them in cash as Dakshina.
You will receive:
A short video of the Sankalpa and Bhojan.
Photographs of the Puja rituals.

Rudra Centre priests will perform Puja as per Vedic rituals based on birth details. Please mention your Full name, Current Location, Gotra/Birth details (date, place, time)/Parent’s Name, & Sankalpa (your wish) in the instructions box. This is an individual Puja (you may do puja on individual name or include your near and dear ones in the puja).
In the Vedic tradition, the Brahmin represents the head of the cosmic being – Virat Purusha, and is considered a living embodiment of divine knowledge and spiritual authority. As per scriptures, Brahmins were born from the mouth of Lord Brahma, symbolizing wisdom and speech.
They are also known as Bhudev – Gods on Earth. It is said that unless a Brahmin invokes the deities through Vedic chanting, the Divine cannot accept the offerings made during a ritual. Hence, feeding Brahmins and offering them Dakshina is considered an act of immense spiritual merit (Punya).
Brahmin Bhoj is also referred to as Brahm Bhoj, as it is believed that feeding a Brahmin is equivalent to feeding Lord Brahma Himself. This sacred act is done with a spirit of seva (selfless service) and devotion, with the intention of fulfilling one’s Sankalpa (heartfelt desire).
